Twenty Three very hot and bothered people from all over London, Sussex, Essex, and even Humberside attended a successful IttA at Hammersmith. Said courses administrator, Lt Darren Murphy, "If I learnt anything this weekend it was to run the course in winter!!" Well done, all concerned

- Expedition Supervisors in Scotland

Major Steve Bogan of Lothian & Borders Bn welcomed fifteen students from all parts of Scotland to Drumshoreland to complete the Expedition Supervisor module, staffed by Lt Martin Peterson, Lt Col Alistair Spowage and Lt Col Mike Gerrish.

- OCN passes in Award Leadership

At the recent External Moderation exercise for the Open College Network Programme in Award Leadership - Managerment Development, over 100 students passed units at levels two and three.

Members of the Training Network from West Midlands ran another successful Introduction to the Award course at Donnington, where a significant number of students were Award holders.

- Introduction to the Award at Drumshoreland

Lothian & Borders Bn hosted another successful IttA course, with a mixture of Cadets and adult leaders from L&B Bn and Angus & Dundee Bn. DofE Officer Major Steve Bogan welcomed the assistance of Major Steve Frost and SI Daniel Westmore from SW Region to deliver the course.

- Expedition Assessors - Course Directors

In order to train Directors and Tutors to run the Assessor Accreditation courses which are now required nationwide, we are running a training course at RAF Cranwell on 17/18 May. - North East Region at Otterburn

A successful IttA course was run at Otterburn with students from Cleveland, Humberside & S Yorks and Northumbria being joined by guests from Cheshire. Course Director Major Alan Thompson and DS Capt Michelle Sumner, Lt Martin Peterson and Capt Kevin Stout declared themselves very happy with the calibre of the class.

- IttA at Ballykinler

Leaders from both Northern Ireland Battalions and the CCF attended another successful Introduction to the Award course at Ballykinler. Thanks are due to members of the NI DofE Office and ACFA NI who contributed to the course.

- West Lowland Cadets Lead the Way

For the first time, Senior Cadets undertook an Introduction to the Award course as part of the Award Leadership programme. They were joined on this occasion by adult volunteers. Congratulations to DofE Officer Major Marian Tait, and the DS of Lt Col Ed Sandham, Major Alan Thompson and SI Morag McGhee

- The Foundation Certificate Course is Rolled Out

The first Foundation Cert Course outside CTT Frimley Park was held at Read House, Bicester in conjunction with an IttA. 10 students gained their Foundation Certificate in Award Leadership and four their Foundation Certificate in Introduction to the Award.

- Gold Expeditions and Residential in Bavaria
