22 members of Notts ACF were given an Introduction to DofE at their Training Centre at Chilwell by Lt Col Ed Sandham, Capt Martin Peterson and Major Robin Jones

Potential DofE Accredited Expedition Assessors were taken though the generic training course by Major Robin Jones and Captain Martin Peterson. The next step is for them to complete a supported assessment before appying for national accreditation

Sincere congratulations from us all to the ACFA DofE Advisor for Wales, Major Robin Jones, who has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queens Birthday Honours List.

A very successful EAA course was held jointly with the ATC at 1855 Royton Sqn, tutored by Lt Col Mike Gerrish, Capt Martin Paterson and Sqn Ldr Helen Gerrish. As a result, we now have 37 DofE leaders needing a supported assessment opportunity in the near future!

The Gold Notification form (G4) has now been rebranded and renumbered as G5 (Welsh and Scotland) and G6 (Northern Ireland and English). Click on the link below and scroll to Gold Award notification forms . Completed forms should be sent to ACFA Northern Ireland, ACFA Scotland or ACFA in London as appropriate.

Leaders from Norfolk and Suffolk ACFs joined together to participate in a concentrated IntoDofE course at their Cadet Training Centre at Thetford. A very long day led to successful completion of the course by all students
