ANNEX B :
TASKS OF THE ACFA UK NATIONAL DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD DEVELOPMENT MANAGER







1. The Award Development Manager will :

  1. Promote, organise and administer training in Award Leadership and Management in the ACF.
  2. Develop and organise distance learning training opportunities.
  3. Encourage and support all leader training throughout the UK.
  4. Work closely with National ACFA Award Officers to develop the DofE Award in the ACF and to
    represent them where necessary.
  5. Liaise with DofE Award National and Regional officers to promote the Award, particularly in the ACF.
  6. Be the ACFA point of contact on Award matters.
  7. Represent the Award in the ACF on the ACF Training Committee.
  8. Deliver Award input to CTC and other Courses and Conferences as appropriate.
  9. Represent the Award in the ACF at Conferences as appropriate.
  10. Liaise with ACFA Panel / Committee Chairmen and with the Cadet Vocational Qualifications Office
    (CVQO) to promote the interests of the Award in the ACF.
  11. Attend Gold Award presentations where possible.
  12. Carry out investigations into any problems arising from ACF participation in the Award.
  13. Keep up to date with new practices and initiatives from the Award.
  14. Ensure ACF Award literature is up to date.
  15. Advise on promotion and publicity of the Award in the ACF.
  16. Monitor overseas expeditions.
  17. Consider how to help the CCF with the Award.
  18. Monitor Quality Control of the Award in the ACF.
  19. React to current developments.
  20. Carry out duties as determined by DFOT.
